This year, Denton's Fourth of July festivities are reimagined to create meaningful, at-home experiences TOGETHER! We invite all families to participate and have fun.


STEP 1 | Register online for the Parade

STEP 2 | Upload your Video or Photo by June 14

  • Once registered, use the upload link provided in your receipt.

  • Label your file with your registered name and category.

  • Example:  Mark Smith-Most Patriotic Family


Parade Entry Guidelines:

  • Upload a photo or short video.

  • Video entries must be 30 seconds or less; no music.

  • iPhone video entries need to be filmed with the camera horizontal.

  • Feel free to explain your inspiration in the video.


Virtual Parade Entry Categories:

  • Most Patriotic Baby

  • Most Patriotic Family

  • Most Patriotic Vehicle

  • Most Patriotic House/Yard

  • Most Patriotic Pet

  • Best Unit with Theme

Rules and Regulations:

  • Entries must be family-friendly. 

  • Entries may not include any offensive, inappropriate, or controversial material; no advertisements, commercials, political statements, or that which portrays nudity, profanity, alcohol, drugs, violence, hate, or racism.

  • Further, entries may not ridicule, exploit, or demean persons on the basis of their age, color, creed, disability, national origin, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.

  • Entries should be created and filmed in a way that continues to promote social distancing.

  • The City of Denton reserves the right to edit videos and exclude any entry that does not meet our guidelines, rules, and regulations.

  • Your submission represents consent and grants the City of Denton permission to use your footage or photo on any City platform.

We encourage you to have fun, be silly, and get creative! Gather materials from around your house – newspaper, construction paper, leaves from your yard – whatever can help bring your float to life (even some of your dolls or action figures). 

STEP 3 | Watch the Parade July 4 on Facebook Live

The parade will broadcast LIVE on Facebook, then later on the City's YouTube Channel. Facebook Live rules and regulations will be in place and all video content should be filmed with those restrictions in place.

10:30 a.m., Parade begins

Parade winners will be announced at the end of the virtual parade.
